Support & feedback

A question, a problem, or an idea for the app? Write to us and you will get a real answer from the person who built it.

MicLocker keeps your Mac's default audio input where you put it, so your microphone stops changing on you mid-call. If something is not behaving that way, tell us which Mac you are on, which microphone you locked, and what you saw instead. That is usually enough to work out what happened.

If your issue is urgent, say so in the message and we will move it up the queue.

Try this first

  • Your locked mic shows as not connected. That is the crossed-out menu bar icon, and it means macOS cannot see the device right now. Reconnect it and MicLocker takes over again on its own.
  • Your mic still changes. Open the MicLocker menu and check that a microphone is actually selected rather than the off switch. An outline icon in the menu bar means the lock is off.
  • You want it running before your first call. Turn on Open at login in the MicLocker menu.
  • You want it to stop. Open the menu, choose not to hold any microphone, and your Mac goes back to switching on its own.
